The 10-second check
Open your phone's dialer and type *#06#. If an EID number appears (a long number under your IMEI), your phone has eSIM hardware. Alternatively, go to Settings → Mobile/Cellular Data and look for "Add eSIM" or "Add Data Plan".
Supported devices
Two requirements: (1) your phone has eSIM hardware, and (2) it's carrier-unlocked. Most phones bought from 2020 onward tick both boxes.
Important: phone must be unlocked
A Flylo eSIM needs a carrier-unlocked phone. If you bought your phone outright, or you've finished paying off a contract, it's almost always unlocked. Still on contract? A quick call to your carrier confirms it.
Compatibility FAQs
How do I check if my phone supports eSIM?
The quickest way: open your phone dialer and type *#06#. If you see an 'EID' number alongside your IMEI, your phone supports eSIM. You can also check Settings → Mobile Data / Cellular → look for an 'Add eSIM' or 'Add Data Plan' option.
Is my iPhone eSIM compatible?
Every iPhone from the iPhone XS, XR, and 11 onward supports eSIM (XS/XR were the first). iPhone 14 and 15 models sold in the US are eSIM-only. iPhone SE 2nd generation and newer also support eSIM.
Which Samsung phones support eSIM?
Galaxy S20 and newer (S20, S21, S22, S23, S24), Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold series, Note 20 series, and recent A-series models like the A54/A55 support eSIM. Some regional variants differ, so check with *#06#.
Does my phone need to be unlocked for eSIM?
Yes. Your phone must be carrier-unlocked to use a Flylo eSIM. If you bought your phone outright or have finished your contract, it's almost certainly unlocked. If unsure, ask your carrier to confirm.
My phone supports eSIM but isn't listed — will it work?
Very likely yes. Our list covers the most common models; any carrier-unlocked phone with eSIM hardware works with Flylo. If you can add an eSIM in your phone settings, you're good to go.
